Reno Police officer hurt in crash near Bonanza Casino
RENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- Southbound North Virginia Street is back open near the Bonanza Casino following a crash involving a Reno Police Department cruiser.

The crash in the 4700 block of North Virginia Street involving an RPD sports utility vehicle and a Toyota Corolla was reported just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018.
The officer was going south and the passenger car driver was going north and turned in front of the RPD vehicle, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Matt McLaughlin said.
The police officer sustained minor injuries. The NHP says the injuries to the other driver involved are not critical.
Southbound North Virginia Street was shut down during the investigation.
